Our mission at the West Point Elementary Library is to create a warm, welcoming environment where we seek to inspire students to become lifelong learners and readers.

We encourage students to become effective, ethical,and enthusiastic users of ideas and information.

Book Battles 2022-2023

Book Battles

West Point students get to participate in Davis Book Battles. This is a fun and rewarding event for our students that centers around reading.

Here are a few fun facts about book battles:

It is a reading incentive program and competition.
For 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th graders at West Point.
Students read from a list of fifteen books.
Competitions will be held weekly during class library visits.
Students earn individual buttons for each book they read and complete a comprehension quiz.
Top students and teams earn fame and glory.
